Visiting Indonesia

Indonesia is the world's largest archipelago, spanning over 17,000 islands across the equator. From the spiritual heart of Bali to the ancient temples of Java, the Komodo dragons of Flores, and the pristine reefs of Raja Ampat, Indonesia offers extraordinary diversity. This guide covers everything you need to know before visiting this vast and fascinating country.

Best Time to Visit

The dry season from April to October is generally the best time to visit Indonesia, with June to September seeing the least rainfall and most sunshine. However, Indonesia is a year-round destination. Even during the wet season (November to March), temperatures remain warm and rain typically falls in short afternoon bursts. The wet season can actually be a great time to visit as there are fewer tourists and lush green landscapes.
